D4RK aka Adam Cobbsky is a 34 year old DJ and promoter from London, and is definitely one of the scene's brighest stars. Being a dancefloor regular since the early 1990s, clubbing eventually saw him into the world of DJing, where he has progressed through techno, hardcore, drum n bass, trance and now into uplifting hard dance and NRG. His influences have come from the likes of Carl Cox, Ed Rush, Eddie Halliwell, Mauro Picotto and Fergie. A DJ since 1993, his passion for music took on a whole new level in March 2004, when he launched his own event, Squelcher. This started as a new and innovative bi-monthly hard dance event which continues to showcase headliners and up and coming DJs alike. Now, Squelcher vs Guilt (a collaboration of hard dance and techno) is still going strong, and gaining pace with every party. So much so that D4RK's own DJ profile is really taking off and he is landing gigs everywhere, with plenty more in the pipeline, including EZ Duzzit (in London and Ibiza) and Hard Life in Leeds. He is also starting to form a b2b duo with Rory McCart at various events in the UK, and the pair already have a couple of collaborations finished, League Of Shadows and Ghost In The Machine, with many more forthcoming. D4RK also hosts an increasingly popular, weekly web radio show on http://www.newtechpirates.com every Saturday between 10pm - 12am. These live-sets have been gaining lots of attention, so check it out. Squelcher vs Guilt is starting to take the London hard dance scene by storm, and D4RK is the brains behind all this, you won't be disappointed by a trip down there. One not to miss.
